The Les Cheneaux Yacht Club offers a Youth Sailing program that is open to the public. Club members, guests, and community members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
The Les Cheneaux Yacht Club’s Youth Sailing program offers an opportunity for kids of all ages to learn and practice their sailing/racing skills on Optimist dinghies and Sunfish sailboats.
In 2026, Youth Sailing sessions are scheduled for Sundays (June 28; July 5, 12, and 19; and August 2) at 11:00 am. The more experienced sailors are encouraged to join the Open Sunfish races in Muskie Bay that follow at 2:00 pm.
Cost is $25 per week or $50 for the whole season.
In order for a child to participate, a parent/guardian must complete, sign, and submit the online registration form (available here by June 2026). The form includes Code of Conduct, waiver of liability, and payment.
