LCYC offers two sailing camps in summer 2026. Advance registration and fee are required for both camps.
Minnow Sailing Camp – August 3-5, for ages 5 – 8; REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOW
Junior Sailing Camp – July 13-17, for ages 8 – 16 (completed)

MINNOW SAILING CAMP INFORMATION
Minnow Sailing Camp, for sailors age 5 – 8, will be offered August 3, 4, and 5 from 10 am – 2 pm. All experience levels are welcome.
The camp fee is $150 for the full three-day camp, or $50/day if not attending all 3 days. Advance online registration and payment are required.
An adult chaperone must stay with the child during camp and help supervise the child. One adult for multiple children in a family is fine. Good WiFi is available at the club if the adult wants to do work or make calls while the campers are occupied.
Items needed for camp:
- Lunch – campers and adults should bring their own lunches
- Life jacket
- Sunscreen
- Water bottle
- Towel
- Warmer clothes (if weather calls for it)
- Hat/sunglasses
- Swimsuit

JUNIOR SAILING CAMP INFORMATION (describes the 2026 camp, which has been completed)
The week-long LCYC Junior Sailing Camp aims to provide intensive instruction, fundamental techniques of sailing, and development of safe boating habits. Camp will run Monday, July 13 through Friday, July 17 from 9 am – 4 pm, with lunch served daily. Advance registration is required.
- Age and experience level: Ages 8 – 16; all levels of sailing experience are welcome.
- Items needed for camp: Life jacket, sunscreen, appropriate clothing, and water bottle.
- Junior Sailing Camp fee: $475/Sailor.
The Club will provide the following boats:
- Optimists – The Club has 8 Optimists.
- Sunfish – The Club has 15 Sunfish.
We may need extra boats that week. If you have an Opti or Sunfish that you’d allow us to use, or for any other Camp-related questions or concerns, please contact the Latchanas at kellycollins77@hotmail.com.
Junior Sailing Camp Refund Policy
- 30 days or more from start of camp: 100% refund minus $15 processing fee
- 0 – 29 days before start of camp: no refunds will be given
