The Les Cheneaux Yacht Club offers a Youth Sailing program that is open to the public. Club members, guests, and community members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
The Les Cheneaux Yacht Club’s Youth Sailing program offers an opportunity for kids of all ages to learn and practice their sailing/racing skills on Optimist dinghies and Sunfish sailboats. Sailors are divided into groups based on experience and skills. Parents are encouraged to stay and assist as needed.
In 2022, Youth Sailing sessions are scheduled for Sundays (July 3, 10, 17, and 24) at 11:00 am. Lunch is provided. The more experienced sailors are encouraged to join the Open Sunfish races in Muskie Bay at 2:00 pm.
In order for children to participate, parents must sign and submit the 2022 Youth Sailing Release Form.
Cost is $25 per week or $50 for the whole season.
